What is Advocacy?

Advocacy at SIRG is all about helping people, especially those in the Black community.

SIRG's Free Service helps people who are facing problems in areas like healthcare or getting the help they need for mental health issues. Additionally, SIRG also specializes in addressing inequality in education for Black families.

Here's how Advocacy works:

  1. Supporting People: SIRG helps people who are facing problems in areas like healthcare or getting the help they need for mental health issues. We're here to guide them and speak up for them when they need it.
  2. Protecting Rights: We make sure that everyone's rights are respected. This means making sure they're treated fairly and get the help they deserve.
  3. Helping Decide: We give people the information they need to make decisions about their lives. We support them in understanding their options and making choices that are right for them.
  4. Fixing Big Problems: Sometimes, the problems people face are bigger than just one person. We also work to fix bigger issues in society that make life difficult for some people. We talk to those in charge to make things better for everyone.

Overall, advocacy at SIRG is about helping people stand up for themselves and making sure they get the support they need.

“I am very happy how SIRG dealt with my case, with a prompt response, very professional, friendly, clear, and good communication”
